Our reading today is from the
Gospel of John, Chapter 6, verse 51: “I
am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will
live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the
world.”
This
verse is towards the end of chapter six.
In vv 25-59, Jesus continues using the metaphor of bread from
Heaven. The day before Jesus had been
teaching by the shore and performed the miracle of feeding the 5000 with five
loaves and two fish. Now start the video.
